Brew Guide: Batch Brew
Great for mornings you don’t want to put in the work or if you want to make a large amount of coffee for guests, using the Moccamaster is a great option. Following the same ratios as the other methods, we will be using a 1:15 recipe (1 part coffee to 15 parts water).

For this recipe we will use the full carafe method. If you want to make less coffee, simply multiply the number from the water fill line by 7. So for example, if I only want to make a pot of coffee for 2 people, I would fill up the water to the 7 line and then multiply it by 7, and use 49 grams of coffee.
Step 1: Fill water to the brew line depending on how many cups of coffee you want to brew. In this case, fill it up to the 10 cup line for a full pot.
Step 2: Weigh out 70 grams of coffee (10 on the fill line x 7 = 70 grams coffee).
Step 3: Grind Coffee to a medium grind.
Step 4: Pour the ground coffee in to the brew basket and shake it to give a flat bottom.
Step 5: Turn on the moccamaster and let the machine do the work!
Step 6: Pour out the coffee into a pre-warmed mug and enjoy!
Some notes: Some versions of the machine will have a half or full switch for the hot plate burner on the machine - we suggest enjoying the coffee right after it brews for best results.
